After studying at the University of Westminster I decided to open my own label.  Aware that I was lacking the technical skills necessary to design and make clothes to the standard I desired, I decided to open Emma's Shop; A small boutique in Clerkenwell, where I created a selection of extreamly commercial designs that were exceptional value for money.  The income generated allowed me to employ a full time pattern cutter who worked with me to create my designs and taught me the intricacies of pattern cutting.

After six months of interacting with my customers face to face, I decided to set up my own label, EG.  I launched a collection of my most popular pieces from the shop.
