“Girl of Van Eyck” is a study of female identity and the perceptions of female identity based on the work of Dutch and Flemish painters of 14-15 centuries, predominantly Van Eyck.StartFragment

The series explores the tension between perception, presentation and perceiving of females by themselves, by male and general society, while searching for the roots and recognition of  certain idiosyncratic symbols and tendencies prevailing through the different periods of history.

The series aims to challenge contemporary ideas about female identity through art and fashion.
